Summer is almost here!

Well, I finished my first semester of nursing school yesterday! I have not posted in so long because I have not had a life for several months. We have been SOOOOO busy. I cannot believe how fast time flew by..... and the craziest thing is that Christian is 7 months old today! :/...... It really is true that they grow up so fast. He had just turned 3 months old when I started school. He has changed so much, and is looking more and more like a little boy everyday. He is in the 99th percentile for height and weight (started off at 2 months in the 99th %tile and is still that way at 7 months), and he is knocking out all his milestones. He has learned to say "Hi" and wave! That is his absolute favorite thing to do, along with chasing our 2 lb yorkie, Abbie around all over the house in his walker. I can already tell that he is going to be a mess. He is such a thrill seeking, fearless child already (that is so scary) but he is definitely always fun to be around. His other mode of transportation is also rolling around everywhere since he cant quite crawl yet, but we are getting there! We are so blessed to have him.

We have been in Jacksboro for about 5 months, and although it has it's downfalls.... I love being back home around my family. I am so glad to be on summer break and take some time off to spend with my family, friends, and our church youth. I am excited about all that is going on this summer.

9 weeks old!!

Time has flown by these past few weeks, and boy, have we been SUPER busy! We put our house up for sale about two and a half weeks ago, and sold it on Tuesday! It was crazy!! We definitely thought we would be here for at least a couple more months! We are going to move up to Jacksboro for awhile while I am in nursing school! My mom is going to keep Christian on the days that I am at school. I will never be able to thank her enough for helping me. My parents are such a blessing! So, now we are busy packing up our house because the lady who bought it wants to be moved in by the 17th, which is 6 days away!!

So.... Christian is getting bigger and bigger everyday... I took him to his 2 month check-up this Monday and he weighs 13 Ibs, 11 oz :) He is a big boy! In fact, he is so big that I have to rest his carrier on my hips when I carry him and now I have a HUGE black, purple bruise and knot on my right hip. We have enjoyed him so much though. I absolutely cannot imagine life without him, and I almost want to slap myself for not wanting to have kids. He is smiles at us everyday and is starting to giggle quite often. It is so adorable!! An older man told me the other day that he was the most good natured baby he had ever been around, and he is right, he is. He never cries unless he is hungry. He really is such a sweet baby. God sure blessed Brian and me.

Here is an update on my post-pregnancy weight loss: I gained 58 POUNDS with him, and only have 5 left to lose to get back to my 123 :) I am so thankful that I watched what I ate when I was pregnant so that I would not have trouble losing the weight. It has paid off!

Sorry it has taken this long to update! We have been busy, but hopefully I can get caught back up on my posts!! Hope everyone is enjoying this time of year as much as I am. I love Christmas!!

Here are pics from 5 weeks to the most recent....

5 weeks old...

More pictures of Christian at 5 weeks old... he keeps growing so fast. We weighed him yesterday and he weighs over 11 Ibs. He has been sleeping 6-7 hours a night, which is absolutely amazing, and I thank him so much!!! Also, he is starting to smile at us. It is so cute :) Hope everyone has had a great week!!

4 weeks...

Well Christian is a little over 4 weeks old, he is still continuing to grow so fast. We finally got to venture out of the house today for the first time, and we made a quick trip to Walmart. I think it did both of us some good finally getting out. I am looking forward to the holidays. I cannot believe they are right around the corner. Although, I am in the middle of trying to lose the rest of my baby weight, I cannot wait for holiday food. It's going to be delicious :-) Hope everyone enjoys their weekend!!

Here are some pictures of Christian trying to lift his head. He is getting stronger and building his neck muscles. He is doing really good, he has recently had a rash come up on his face just because his skin is so sensitive, but hopefully that will resolve itself soon.

Here is a picture of Brian and the little guy sleeping.... Just thought they looked so cute :)
