The Beginning

So we decided to start this blog to keep family and friends up to date with our lives.... actually it's to keep people up to date with the baby news. :-)

Here lately I have been busy going to Ultrasound school (will finish up next summer) and Brian stays pretty busy working all of the time. We did get to enjoy a skiing trip to Aspen/Snowmass, CO over Spring Break and got to spend a lot of time with my family which we really enjoyed. I still skied against my doctors orders (and I didn't fall), but it was Brian's first time to ski so I wanted to ski with him. Instead of skiing blacks and hard blues like I usually do, I stayed on greens and blues with Brian.

Now to the baby.....
As of today, I am 13 weeks along which is over 3 months (3 and 1/4 months), and I am due on Oct. 3, 2009. I started out at 123 lbs and have gained 7 pounds already (Yeah, that's a lot, I know), but I seem to be the only one noticing. I still do not really have a "bump" or a stomach. My jeans seem to keep getting more snug everyday where now I have to lay on the bed or floor to button them. I am dreading the day I have to go buy new, bigger jeans. So I mainly just try to wear jogging sweats :-) Apparently getting morning sickness is one of the most common symptoms of pregnancy, and I can proudly say that I have only gotten sick 3 times, and that was due to not eating food with my prenatal vitamins. I should have known better, but it can make you feel horrible. I have gotten one official sonogram from my doctor's office, but have had many done in my Ultrasound program at school. I get scanned just about every week so it is exciting watching how much the little thing has grown each week. I will try to get my sonogram pictures posted soon, and work on getting the videos posted as well. We are all very excited about the upcoming months!

This week the baby is about the size of a peach....

I will try to keep this blog up to date every week !!
